Pompeii is the Roman city buried by the eruption of Vesuvius in AD 79, today an open-air archaeological park — one of the most visited sites in Italy.
From the B&B it's about 30 minutes on the Circumvesuviana train (Sorrento-Naples line, Pompei Scavi stop). The area is large: a full visit takes 3-4 hours.
Wear comfortable shoes and bring water — there's almost no shade in summer. An audio guide or printed guide is strongly recommended to make sense of the streets. Best to enter from Porta Marina and start at the Forum.
